Abstract:  Fugro conducted single beam bathymetry surveys along portions of the Upper Sacramento River. This consists of approximately 117 miles of riverbed. Surveyed area runs from Verona, CA in the south (junction of the Feather River) and continues north to Hamilton City, passing through Knights Landing, Boyers Landing, Grimes, Meridian, Colusa, Princeton, and Butte City. This project was titled 'Central Valley Floodplain Evaluation and Delineation - Bathymetry Surveying in Support of Hydraulic Model Development' (contract number - 4600007989, task order no.18). The data were collected in NAD83 and NAVD88 datums (Horizontal Units: Feet, Vertical Units: Feet).The associated data are considered DWR enterprise GIS data, which meet all appropriate requirements of the DWR Spatial Data Standards, specifically the DWR Spatial Data Standard version 3.5, dated April 12, 2023. DWR makes no warranties or guarantees — either expressed or implied — as to the completeness, accuracy, or correctness of the data. DWR neither accepts nor assumes liability arising from or for any incorrect, incomplete, or misleading subject data. Purpose: The purpose of the survey was to provide single beam bathymetric data in support of hydraulic model development for the Central Valley Floodplain Evaluation (CVFED) and Delineation program. Hydraulic models are used to delineate future floodplain boundaries compliant with DWR, USACE, and FEMA requirements.
