The main purpose of the survey was to replace outdated and inaccurate data, help with the evaluation of a large number of restoration proposals nearby, and inform the re-operation of the Montezuma Slough Salinity Control Structure for the Delta Smelt Resiliency Strategy being implemented in 2018. &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;The data were collected in NAD83 (California State Plane Zone II coordinate system) and NAVD88 datums.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Survey Dates: December 18, 2018&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;• Instrumentation: Singlebeam echo sounder with Inertially-Aided Post-Processed Kinematic (IAPPK) GPS procedures.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;• Point Spacing: about 1 Foot&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;• Horizontal Units: US Foot&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;• Vertical Units: US Foot&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Related datasets: Multibeam: Montezuma Slough, July 2018; Suisun Slough, October 2018. <idPurp>This singlebeam project is part of the Suisun Slough, December 2018 dataset and contains a few limited transects in Grizzly Bay. There were significant sand waves in these transects that may be temporally dynamic and therefore probably inappropriate for modeling work -- sand waves have been left intact in this dataset. The related Grizzly Bay smooth dataset features more aggressive smoothing over sand waves and may be more appropriate for modeling.

Field Practices: Field calibration tests (including sound velocity readings, and manual depth soundings) were regularly performed in order to ensure data quality and positional accuracy. Singlebeam data were collected on the survey vessel and recorded using Hypack Hydrographic Survey software (Hypack). Data were processed using either Caris or Hypack, exported as a text file, and imported in a geodatabase using ArcGIS software. Data are imported in ArcGIS Desktop as point feature classes and reviewed for consistency. Further products and analyses are carried out upon request. Metadata are established and the data are stored. Data processing was completed in December 2018.</stepDesc>
