<stepDesc>DWR Groundwater GIS tool is used to assemble appropriate monitoring wells and elevation measurements. Wells with total depth &gt;= 99 ft below ground surface, or null (unknown) and top of the top perforation is &gt;=99 and &lt;=400 feet below ground surface or null ( unknown). Wells are selected for those with measurements in the targeted season: either Jan 1 to May 31 for spring season, or Sept 1 to November 30 for Fall season. If there are multiple measurements for a given well for a given season, the measurement closest to the target date is used. Measurements are further filtered by measurement quality code: measurements flagged with 'pumping' or 'flowing' are excluded. Measurements/wells are further filtered based on examination of the measurements and professional judgement of the geologists performing the analysis. Change values are calculated from the early and late year groundwater elevation values for each selected monitoring location.</stepDesc>
