The California Department of Water Resources (DWR), North Central Region Office (NCRO), Bathymetry Data Collection Section, conducted a bathymetric survey of Lake Del Valle for the Delta Field Division (DFD). The main purpose of the data is to provide an updated elevation surface for the Lake and to assess sedimentation rates. This dataset is an interpolated surface comprised of three components: multibeam bathymetry throughout most of the Lake, singlebeam bathymetry in the southermost shoal areas near the intlet from Arroyo Del Valle, and lidar data above elevation 705.5 ft NAVD88 flown by Towill, Inc. for DWR in May, 2023. Areas derived from interpolated regions beyond the bounds of relevant new data are denoted in the related layer in this geodatabase NCRO_Bathy_LakeDelValle_May2024_Data_Extents.
