Service Description: This feature class represents point locations of vertical ground surface displacement measurements in more than 200 of the high-use and populated groundwater basins across the State of California between January of 2015 and October of 2023. The vertical displacement measurements represent average values for 100 meter by 100 meter areas that are derived from Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) data. The InSAR data were collected by the European Space Agency (ESA) Sentinel-1A satellite and processed by TRE ALTAMIRA, under contract with to the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) as part of DWR’s SGMA technical assistance to provide important SGMA-relevant data to GSAs for GSP development and implementation. The Department of Water Resources makes no warranties, representations or guarantees, either expressed or implied, as to the accuracy, completeness, correctness, or timeliness of the information in this dataset, nor accepts or assumes any liability arising from use of these data. Neither the Department nor any of the sources of this information shall be responsible for any errors or omissions, or for the use or results obtained from the use of this information. A Groundwater Sustainability Agency is not required to use these data, and their use does not guarantee the adequacy of a Groundwater Sustainability Plan that relies on such data. Date of acquisition: Between January of 2015 and January of 2024. Date of production: 2024 Date of delivery of product: Delivered from TRE ALTAMIRA to DWR in 2024. Processing steps: See Technical Report: InSAR land surveying and mapping services in support of the DWR SGMA program, TRE ALTAMIRA, 2024. Positional accuracy: See InSAR Data Accuracy for California Groundwater Basins - CPGS Data Comparative Analysis - January 2015 to June 2018, Towill Inc., 2022
