Description:

HDR conducted single beam bathymetry surveys along portions of the Lower San Joaquin River and some of its tributaries on various date in 2009. This consists of approximately 152 miles of riverbed. Title of the project - 'Bathymetry Surveying in Support of Hydarulic Model Development' (Contract number - 4600007990, task order - 18).

The following was obtained from the official project report:

HDR Engineering Inc, the Architect/Engineer Contractor (AEC), has been assigned the responsibility of performing the services related to the Lower San Joaquin River System by the California Department of Water Resources (DWR). Task order 18 is in compliance with HDR Contract 4600007990. On October 13, 2009, task order 18 Amendment 1 was issued to address the inclusion of Subtask 6 for stream cross section field surveys. Task order 18 Amendment 1 was necessitated by the fact that conditions in some of the bathymetry reaches were different than originally anticipated when Task order 18 was scoped. There are 8 reaches identified for stream cross section field surveys and they are prioritized as follows: 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 5, 7, and 6. HDR is the primary point of contact with subconsultants Andregg Geomatics and Fugro West providing analysis and stream cross section survey support.

The original survey data were collected in NAD83 and NAVD88 datums (Horizontal Units: Feet, Vertical Units: Feet).

The associated data are considered DWR enterprise GIS data, which meet all appropriate requirements of the DWR Spatial Data Standards, specifically the DWR Spatial Data Standard version 3.3, dated April 13, 2022. DWR makes no warranties or guarantees — either expressed or implied — as to the completeness, accuracy, or correctness of the data.
