Service Description: The data set contains observed streamflow data locations at stream gages in the Sacramento and San Joaquin Valley compared with the C2VSimFG simulated streamflow in the Sacramento and San Joaquin Valleys. The simulated streamflow of the C2VSimFG includes major rivers regulated by reservoirs, as well as major tributaries with unimpaired flows.

Subject: The data represents the observed streamflows from the USGS stream gauges and DWR CDEC gauging stations. The streamflow data is used to calculate the observed monthly flow volumes to compare with the simulated streamflow of the Fine-Grid California Central Valley Groundwater - Surface Water Flow Model (C2VSimFG). The purpose of the dataset is to allow the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) interested parties and the public to use the C2VSimFG's output data to assist in the implementation of their groundwater sustainability plan.
