Service Description: Data represents maximum up-estuary intrusion of the 1 ppt salinity contour. The lines represent 1000 ppt chloride per million, measured 1½ hours after high tide. This data contains contours for 1921-1990.
The authoritative data source is the State Water Resources Control Board D-1485, August 1978.
The GIS spatial file was developed by DWR Delta-Suisun Marsh Office in 6/2009.
This is a legacy dataset from the Delta Atlas, published in 1993, pages 22-23.
The associated data are considered DWR enterprise GIS data, which meet all appropriate requirements of the DWR Spatial Data Standards, specifically the DWR Spatial Data Standard version 3.4, dated September 14, 2022.
