Service Description: This feature class contains data about river miles for rivers in the California Central Valley, as used by USACE and by DWR Division of Flood Management. River mile markers are point locations that function as a system to facilitate location referencing along linear streams. The USACE system was the system used during the Sacramento & San Joaquin River Basins Comprehensive Study, which dated sometime in the late 1990s early 2000s. Data were subsequently imported into both the California and National Levee Databases. DWR makes no warranties or guarantees — either expressed or implied — as to the completeness, accuracy, or correctness of the data. DWR neither accepts nor assumes liability arising from or for any incorrect, incomplete, or misleading subject data. Questions or comments may be directed to gis@water.ca.gov.
