Service Description: Purpose: The Primary purpose of this UAV mission is to delineate the remaining wetted channel following the high water (flood) events of Spring 2023. The Phantom 4-RTK was used for this specific mission plus additional ground control in order to create a high-quality DEM to reflect the post-flood existing ground surface within the Paradise Cut flood plain (Levee to Levee) and develop subsequent products (contours, orthophotos, etc.). Survey Date and Time: Data was collected on 8/9/2023 1015-1230 PST Imagery Acquisition: The imagery was collected using a Phantom 4 PRO RTK, operating at 250’ above ground level, multiple flight lines criss-crossing the center line of Paradise Cut from the weir on the San Joaquin River to the confluence with Old River. The field collection was controlled by a DJI Smart Controller running the DJI Pilot app. Software Processing: Images were imported into AgiSoft using GCP’s the precise RTK-GPS values, block adjusted, and an Orthomosaic was generated. Adjustment summary from AgiSoft Number of Adjusted Images 1473 Number of Tie Points 9467196 Number of Solution Points 3053413 Mean Reprojection Error / Sigma (cm/pixel) 3.8cm Ground Resolution GSD (cm/pixel) 7.6cm Adjustment Type GCP’s - Tragets Ground Control Points Involved in Adjustment 16 GCP’s This is an official DWR Image Service, which meets all appropriate requirements of the DWR Spatial Data Standards, specifically the DWR Spatial Data Standards version 3.5, dated September2023. DWR makes no warranties or guarantees — either expressed or implied — as to the completeness, accuracy, or correctness of the data. DWR neither accepts nor assumes liability arising from or for any incorrect, incomplete, or misleading subject data. This Image Service was published on 1/8/2024, by the DWR Division of Engineering.
