Service Description: This data set was collected and produced by Towill, Inc. under contract with to the California Department of Water Resources (DWR). Data are considered public domain. Field Survey Operations Field Equipment Ground control for the aerial imagery was supplied through onboard ABGPS systems and tied to numerous CORS stations operating near the study area. Horizontal and Vertical Control Surveys Primary Control Survey Control is based on ABGPS and CORS stations. Please see Survey Report dated January 18, 2019 for information regarding specific CORS stations used for georeferencing the orthophotography. Horizontal Coordinate Datum The horizontal datum is the National Geodetic Survey (NGS) Continuous Operating Reference Station (CORS) North American Datum of 1983 (NAD 83) California Coordinate System (CCS83) Epoch 2010.0 (2011 realization), Zone 2, US Survey Feet. Vertical Datum Elevations established in this survey are North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD88). Airborne LiDAR The airborne LiDAR mission was performed over a two-day period; September 13-14, 2018. The sensor used to collect the data is a Teladyne/Optech Orion 300 and the laser was set to emit 8 points per square meter (8 PPM^2). The LiDAR strips were processed and calibrated using Optech’s LMS software suite and data from the CORS stations identified in the Survey Report dated January 18, 2019. The LiDAR dataset was classified to separate ground from non-ground features using the following classes: Class 2 = Ground Class 8 = Key point Class 9 = Water Additionally, hydro-break-lines were digitized from intensity images and used to separate ground from large water features (streams wider than 100 feet and ponds larger than twenty five acres). The derived bare-earth surfaces were formatted in both TIN and DEM formats. DWR makes no warranties or guarantees — either expressed or implied — as to the completeness, accuracy, or correctness of the data. DWR neither accepts nor assumes liability arising from or for any incorrect, incomplete, or misleading subject data. This is an official DWR Image Service, republished on March 25, 2019 by Stephanie Baker of the Division of Engineering, Geodetic Branch, Geospatial Data Support Section, who may be contacted at stephanie.baker@water.ca.gov, or 916-653-9815.
